TOUCHED – Craftsmanship in Contemporary Photography, guest-curated by Anton Corbijn

From the 16th to the 25th of September Unseen presents the exhibition TOUCHED – Craftsmanship in Contemporary Photography, which is composed by the internationally renowned Dutch photographer/film director Anton Corbijn. The exhibition displays work from twelve international photographers who collectively provide a special image of the way in which contemporary artists implement customs of artisanal photographic processes or photographic prints to unique objects. In contemporary photography, one sees a growing tendency for craftsmanship and unicity as opponent to the widely present modern digital technology. TOUCHED reflects this important development and brings together exclusive work from mostly young artists who are increasingly making a name for themselves. At the same time, the exhibition gives an exciting glimpse into the richness of contemporary photography. TOUCHED – Craftsmanship in Contemporary Photography is part of Unseen Photo Festival and will be on display in Museum Het Schip.

TOUCHED will present the work of Dirk Braeckman, Antony Cairns, Gerard Fieret, Adam Jeppesen, Paul Kooiker, Susanna Kraus, Thomas Mailaender, Nerhol, Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs, Miroslav Tichý and Daisuke Yokota.
