Provisions and Conditions Unseen – Book Market
Unseen Photo Fair is the property of and will be organised by Unseen Photo Fair BV, referred to hereafter as Unseen. Unseen has final responsibility for the content of the fair.
2. Location and opening times
The fair will take place in the Gashouder and the Book Market in a tent in front of the Gashouder on the Klönneplein 1, 1014 DD, Amsterdam, the Netherlands from Friday 9 October up to and including Monday 12 October 2020.

3. Assembly and disassembly by the participants
The assembly by the participants is possible only on Thursday 8 October between 10.00 and 22.00. Tables must be manned during all opening times including during the private opening times. Tables should be cleared on Monday evening 12 October by 24.00 hrs at the latest. Disassembly takes place on Monday 12 October from 17.00 to 24.00 hrs.
4. Participation and registration
Participation is open to publishers in contemporary photo art in the broadest sense of the word. Registration is only possible by way of the enclosed registration form. This form does not guarantee participation. All applications for participation will be presented for assessment to the selection committee. The registration form should be in the possession of Unseen by 14 May 2020 at the latest. Unseen stores the information received from applicants in its designated administration. By applying the applicant gives permission for the use and storage of this information. After a participation agreement has been concluded, Unseen use this data for the organisation of the fair and Book Market as well as for related publishing purposes in the form of a (online) catalogue, program, website, social media, etc. Unseen is authorized to take pictures and motion pictures of the fair (program) / booths / Book Market / tables and persons present for the publication purposes of Unseen. Participants and personnel hired by them will condone the publication and/or distribution of the recordings and indemnify Unseen for any claims regarding this matter.
5. Acceptance, admission and payment
Acceptance of registration will take place following approval by Unseen. Upon acceptance (May 2020) an advance payment of € 225,- (excluding VAT) must be made before June 25th 2020. The remaining payments of the table rental and the fixed charges plus the statutory VAT are to be paid before August 6th 2020. If payment requirements have not been met on time, the participant has no entitlement in any form. All (payment collection) costs arising from not paying invoices on time will be charged entirely to the participant. In the event of one or more accounts not being paid on time Unseen is entitled to provide the place allocated to another party without further intervention.
6. Cancellation of registration / breach of contract
In the event of cancellation of the registration or breach of contract then, up until 3 months before the fair, 50% of the total costs of participation must be paid by the participant to Unseen. After this 100% of the total costs of participation must be paid by the participant to Unseen.
7. Force majeur
If Unseen has to be cancelled due to external circumstances such as the corona virus, 100% of the invoiced amount will be reimbursed to the participant. Current developments in regards to Covid19 will be closely monitored by Unseen.
8. Tables options
Table > 80 x 180cm (€ 450,- ex VAT), 2 Tables > 80 x 360cm (€ 900,- ex. VAT). Book display behind table > 120cm w x 200cm h (€ 50,- ex VAT).
9. Participants badges Participants are obliged to wear the fully completed ‘participants badges’ in a clearly visible manner. Each participant is entitled to a maximum of 4 badges. These are strictly personal and may only be used by the participants themselves. In the event of misuse these badges may be immediately withdrawn by the organizers.
Unseen will provide security during the assembly, opening and disassembly times from Thursday 8 October 10.00 to Monday 12 October 24.00 hrs. In order to prevent theft during the fair all purchases leaving the fair should be provided with a fully-completed and signed ‘outdoor pass’ which will be issued by Unseen. During setting up, opening and disassembly times the care of goods is expressly at the expense and risk of the participant.
Unseen is not liable for loss, theft or damage to persons or goods in whatever form. The participant is obliged to take out proper insurance for this. Unseen is entitled to ask for proof of insurance if they consider it necessary.
Unseen will decide in all cases which are not foreseen by these provisions and conditions. The instructions of Unseen or an executive organizer appointed by Unseen must be complied with at all times. In the event of a dispute the court at Amsterdam is solely competent. All information has been put together with care but Unseen may not be held liable for its accuracy and no rights may be derived from the details provided.
