Sebastiaan Bremer (b. 1970, the Netherlands) attended the open studio program at the Vrije Academie in The Hague (1989-1991). He received the Werkbeurs Grant from FBKVB in the Netherlands and moved to New York in 1992, where he began to work primarily in black and white. Bremer’s work is part of collections such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, London and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Additionally, he has taught as a visiting professor at many institutions, among which Cooper Union, School of Visual Arts, New York and the Virginia Commonwealth University.
