Peyman Hooshmandzadeh’s (Tehran, 1969) Got A Light? is a series of nineteen photographs of Iranian matchbox and matchbook covers dating from the 1950’s and 60’s. Hooshmandzadeh holds a BA in photography and is one of Iran’s most acclaimed artists and published writers winning awards and exhibiting internationally. As a photojournalist he has worked with international agencies and was a founding member of the 135 Photo Agency in Iran. He has three published monographs titled 100, People of Horse, and 1 and a fourth of Got A Light? to be unveiled at Unseen 2017.
