Nobuyoshi Araki (b. 1940, Japan) is a Japanese photographer known the world over for his erotic, and often controversial, body of work. After completing his photography and film production studies at Chiba University, Araki began his photographic career at a commercial level. During this time he exhibited his first show and has since developed into the world-renowned artist he is today. Nobuyoshi Araki’s works are part of numerous significant public collections including that of the Tate Modern, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
