Nico Krijno (b. 1981, South Africa) is a prolific artist who combines two-dimensional works with in-situ temporary installations. Though his background lies in theatre and experimental video, since 2008 Krijno has been working in the field of visual arts, exploring the space between photography and the process of painting and ephemeral sculpture. His book Synonym Study recently made the shortlist for the Paris Photo Aperture Photobook Awards (2014) and in 2015 he was shortlisted for the Foam Paul Huf Award.
Nico Krijno currently lives and works in Cape Town, South Africa.
