Nanna Hänninen

Nanna Hänninen (b. 1973, Finland) is one of the most reputed artists from the Helsinki School of Photography, presently the most influential school of photography at an international level. Her work could be defined as conceptual and minimalist. She took part in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world and she was awarded by the William Thuring Foundation (2012) and nominated by the Deutsche Börse (2009), the Carnegie Art Award (2008), and the Prix Pictet (2010). She is collected by public and semi-public collections like Fotomuseum Winterthur, Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art, Gothenburg Konstmuseum, and Colección Olor Visual.
