Mirjana Vrbaski

Mirjana Vrbaski (1978, Montreal, Canada) spent the first 16 years of her life in Serbia but moved back to Canada in 1994. She studied English Literature at the University of Guelph in Ontario and Communications at McGill University in Montreal. At the age of 27, after having worked in communications, she moved to the Netherlands to complete a Bachelor of Photographic Studies at The Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. The photographer has exhibited her work in renown galleries in Berlin (Kominek Gallery), in Arles (Galerie Huit), and in Sopot, Serbia (Centar za Kulturu). She won the 4th Prize of the Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize (National Portrait Gallery, UK) in 2009.
