Matt Henry (b. 1978, UK) is currently based in Brighton, England. He did his BA in Politics at the University of Nottingham and an MA Photography at the University of Brighton. Henry has developed a long-term interest in mid-20th century America and its portrayal in film, television and literature. This is translated in his photographic scenes, not only in subject, but in form as well, such as in his use of oversaturised colour fragments that remind viewers of American artist Stephen Shore – Henry's foremost photographic influence outside of cinema. His work has been exhibited in Europe, Asia and North America. In 2015 Kehrer Verlag published his book ‘Short Stories’.
