Laurence Aëgerter (b. 1972, Marseille) is a multi-disciplinary artist, who lives and works in Amsterdam and Marseille. She studied Art History and Fine Arts. Photography, installations and artist’s books are her main media. Over the past years, she has exhibited in several international solo and group shows. Her series Cathédrales was shown during Quickscan NL #02 in the Dutch Photomuseum in Rotterdam. Her works are included in collections of a.o..: Paul Getty Center Los Angeles, MoMA New York, Bibliothèque Nationale Paris, MAMAC Nice, Fries Museum Leeuwarden and Caldic collection Rotterdam. This year Aëgerter won the Nestlé Prize for her project Photographic Treatments.
