Dan Dubowitz (1969, Sheffield) is a British photographer based in Italy and the UK. An architect by training, and a cultural masterplanner for the regeneration of post industrial cities, Dan undertakes long term photography projects that can span 6-8 years. Three of these series have been completed and published. They investigate how the spaces we abandon reveal much about ourselves and the psyche of contemporary societies, and have been touring museums and galleries across Europe and North America. These three series are Wastelands (Dewi Lewis, 2009), Fascismo Abbandonato (Dewi Lewis, 2010) and The Peeps (Manchester University Press, 2011).
