Arno Schidlowski (b. 1975, Germany) uses landscape photography to depict an inner state and emotion. The characteristics of the medium of photography are essential to his work offering the means of repetition, changing of focus and perspective. Single images are bound into sequences; the dialectic of positioning oneself with the environment is reflected in a specific rhythm of the presentation of his work.
Schidlowski studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences, Dortmund and achieved his master degree with Ute Mahler at the University of Applied Siences, Hamburg. He received recognitions at photo festivals and competitions such as Recontres d `Arles, Otto-Steinert-Award and LeadAwards amongst others.
