Annick Ligtermoet (1983) lives and works in Helsinki, Finland and Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She graduated from the Royal Academy of Visual Arts The Hague in 2008 and since then her work has been featured regularly in solo and group exhibitions all over the world. Her photographs have an uncanny quality about them. As a viewer, you’re not sure if they represent the present or the past, if you’re looking at reality or a manipulated image. They evoke the feeling of something you have seen or encountered before, leaving you befuddled and amazed.
