The Generator Amsterdam

The hyper-trendy East Amsterdam neighbourhood just became even more in vogue with the addition of Generator’s most ambitious property to date. Inspired by the building’s history and park-side location, this former zoological university building has a great mixture of quadruple and twin rooms and even a fabulous suite. Generator maintained the lecture hall and science lab aesthetics while modernizing the spaces with playful graphics and pops of colour to create a labyrinth of sprawling amenities, and in true Generator form, no shortage of hang-out spots. The spacious social areas are filled with creative design touches. The former lecture hall has been turned into an impressive chill-out lounge and bar, whilst the old library is now a relaxation and private events room. Guests can sample some great food in the café and the original boiler room has become a speakeasy late night bar. It’s the social experience that counts.
