13.00-14.30
Aperture presents: Elements of Style

Join leading photographers, writers and editors as they discuss the evolving language of fashion photography and how it can address complex questions of representation, from colonial legacies to queer histories, and other concerns beyond the sartorial.

Alistair O’Neill (Professor of Fashion History and Theory, Central Saint Martins) in conversation with Awol Erizku (visual artist), Chiara Nonino (Editor, Vogue Italia) and Lou Stoppard (writer, curator and broadcaster).

Artists Talks

Each year, Unseen invites both young and established artists to shed light on their creative process. Hear from Eva O'Leary (US/IE), whose work reflects on identity and selfhood in modern times, Rafał Milach (PL), who explores the effects of government propaganda, and Simon Norfolk (NI), who uses photography to raise awareness of global climate change.

16.00-16.45

Join our celebratory announcement of the 2018 Unseen Dummy Award winner, preceded by a discussion with the jury members regarding the selection process, and find out which of the nominated photobook dummies will be published by Lecturis in spring 2019.
