Unseen is looking for an Exhibition Production Intern

Unseen is a globally renowned international photography platform based in Amsterdam. Pushing the boundaries of a traditional photography fair, Unseen is dedicated to presenting both emerging talent and innovative, unreleased work by established artists, highlighting the most recent developments in the medium.

About Unseen
Unseen Amsterdam takes place once a year combining several events, including the Fair, CO-OP, Book Market, Living Room (our speakers’ programme), Onsite Projects and Exhibitions, all of which offer innovative and original approaches to photography. Welcoming galleries from across the globe, Unseen connects and inspires artists, curators, collectors and photography enthusiasts. The sixth edition of Unseen Amsterdam will take place from 22nd to 24th of September 2017.

What will you be doing?
As the Exhibition Production Intern you will assist the Special Projects Manager. The Unseen Exhibition this year; Photo Pleasure Palace, is a collaboration between artists Thomas Mailaender and Erik Kessels. The exhibition will take place in the Zuiveringshal on the Westergasterrein.

You will help with the planning and organising of Unseen Amsterdam 2017 and will be partly responsible for the exhibition during Unseen Amsterdam. The tasks vary from office work, onsite logistics and communication with the participants. During Unseen Amsterdam, you will work together with the Special Projects Manager at the overall event management.

What we are looking for?

  • Work experience in production or events management
  • Stress resistance, assertiveness, and problem solving ability
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Dutch (native speaker) and English
  • Attention to detail and an attentive workflow
  • Excellent time management
  • A proactive attitude and good team spirit

What does Unseen offer?
Unseen is looking for an intern to join the young and ambitious team from mid-August until the end of September 2017. The role is 3-5 days per week, and full time in September. Unseen offers an internship fee.
