East Wing, recently established in Doha and Dubai, presents an innovative curatorial programme centering on contemporary photography and its intersections with the arts, sciences, architecture, design, music and fashion. With Elie Domit as the creative director and Hester Keijser as the curator, the gallery aims to bring international photography into focus within the Arabian Gulf, and to bring photography from the Middle East into focus for an international audience.
At Unseen, East Wing will represent Masood and the international collective AM Projects. AM Projects consists of the artists Aaron McElroy, Daisuke Yokota, Ester Vonplon, Gert Jochems, Olivier Pin-Fat and Tiane Doan Na Champassak, and describes themselves as "a collective journey, a tireless production line of very individualistic photographic works pursued by authors who are committed to and involved in their own separate creative processes". The new collective will be presented for the very first time in Amsterdam, during Unseen.
East Wing will be launched internationally at Unseen. With thrilling times ahead for this young gallery in the heart of the up-and-coming Middle Eastern art scene, be sure not to miss out on their booth in September.
