Gallery Christian Larsen opened its doors in the heart of Stockholm in August 2007. The Scandinavian gallery represents a number of photographers, including Charlotte Gyllenhammar, Cooper & Gorfer, Joakim Eneroth, Viktor Rosdahl, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, and Mads Gamdrup. Varying in style, their photographs depict a dream-like, almost fantastical world, abstract and colorful, produced with a keen sense of vigor and innovation.
Gallery Christian Larsen is currently exhibiting work by Bo Christian Larsson. The exhibition will run until 30 September. After Unseen, a visiting artist Haruko Maeda will have a solo show in the gallery from October 4 onwards. Christian Larsen can be found in Vasastan in Stockholm (Hudiksvallsgatan 8). The gallery is open from Wednesday to Friday 12 to 6pm and during the weekends from 12 to 4pm.
To Unseen, Christian Larsen will bring Charlotte Gyllenhammar, Mads Gamdrup (1967), Joakim Eneroth (1969), and the duo Cooper & Gorfer. The team, consisting of the artists Sarah Cooper (USA, 1974) and Nina Gorfer (Austria, 1979), has been working together since 2006. Their work belongs to a narrative tradition within photography, with roots in 18th and 19th century painting. Alongside their art projects Cooper & Gorfer also work as editorial and commercial photographers. The duo now lives and works in Göteborg, Sweden.
