Hideyuki Ishibashi (JP, 1986) is a Japanese photographer living and working in Lille. He studied Photography at the Nihon University College of Art in Japan and is currently studying at Le Fresnoy Studio National des Arts Contemporaries in Tourcoing, France.
Ishibashi uses mainly collage techniques for his work. His artistic research is focused on the ambiguity of the human way of seeing images in this digital era, by using anonymous images such as found photographs, postcards from flee markets, internet images and even Google street views. He seamlessly combines fragments from all these materials, creating a new entity that exists somewhere between reality and imagination.
