Corinne Mercadier was born in 1955. She lives in Paris. Corinne Mercadier has shown her work regularly since 1998 at the Galerie Les filles du calvaire and at the Alan Klotz Gallery in 2006 and 2008. She has also presented her work at Fotofest, Houston, Texas; at the FIAC and Paris-Photo; at La Primavera FotoGrafica, Barcelona; and at ARCO, Madrid. In 2001, she won the Altadis Prize from the Galerie Durand-Dessert, Paris, and the Galerie Juana de Aizpuru, Madrid. In 2003, she obtained a commission from the Musée Réattu and the French Ministry of Culture for work that ultimately became La Suite d’Arles, shown during the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie (RIP). Corinne Mercadier's work is in the collections of La Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris; FNAC, Paris; La Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris; and the Polaroid Corporation Collection, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her books have been published by the Éditions Filigranes, including a monograph in 2007, and by Actes Sud.
