Cecilia de Val (b. 1975, Spain) obtained a number of grants and awards like the Premio de Arte de  la UNED (Fundación Ramón J. Sender), the first prize of the Fundación José García Jiménez de Murcia, or the Gran Premio Santa Isabel de Portugal in Zaragoza. Selected at the Bienal de Pamplona (2011), the “Desnudando a Eva: Creadoras de los siglos XX y XXI” traveling exhibition organized by the Instituto Cervantes, as well as a number of festivals like the Festival Outono Fotográfico at the Museu da Imagem in Braga (2013), PhotoEspaña (2009 and 2014) or the Festival Internacional de Artes Visuales Emergent (2010). De Val’s work can be found at important collections like the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo (Comunidad de Madrid), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo y Moderno de Santander y Cantabria (MAS), Fundación Ramón J. Sender, and DKV Seguros.
