Andrew Lacon (1985) is an artist currently living and working in Birmingham, UK. Lacon graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art in 2011, and has since exhibited in the UK and Europe, with solo shows at Outpost, Nowrich, and Baltic 39, Newcastle. Lacon's work adopts photographic methods and theories to create an often sculptural outcome.
Recent shows include Eva Fabregras & Andrew Lacon, Kunstraum, London and Homage To January, Division of Labour, Worcester. Lacon recently received the Arts Council England and British Council International Development Fund to visit China to make new work in 2014. Lacon was nominated for the 2014 Deutsche Borse Photography Prize for his exhibition Agalmatophelia at Baltic 39, Newcastle. Lacon's work is also held in both public and private collections.
