Foam Talent Preview at Galerie Mercatorplein

On Thursday 12 July, the Foam Talent Exhibition opened at the Mercatorplein in Amsterdam West. The large billboard exhibition includes 31 photographs of seven selected Foam Talents. More than 900 young photographers from around the world entered this year's 'Foam Talent Call' (read more ) of the international photography magazine Foam Magazine, produced by Foam and Vandejong. Sixteen young talents were selected (read more), and work by these talents will be featured in Foam Magazine #32 / Talent and in an outdoor exhibition in the Westerpark during Unseen.
Until 5 August, the 31 photographs will be on display at Galerie Mercatorplein. Work can be seen by Olga Cafiero (CH), Alejandro Cartagena (MX), Popel Coumou (NL), Laura El-Tantawy (UK/EG), Shane Lavalette (USA), Maroesjka Lavigne (BE) and Fabio Messias (BR). The exhibition is free to visit. In September, the 31 photographs will join the rest of the work by the selected Foam Talents in the outdoor exhibition in the Westerpark. The other Foam Talents include Marleen Sleeuwits (NL), Giulio Sarchiola (IT), Grace Kim (USA), Tomoe Murakami (JP), Noemie Goudal (FR), Ali Taptik (TR), Antonio Zambardino (IT), Esther Teichmann (DE/USA) and Samuel Falls (USA).
In addition, work by several of these talents will be shown at the Unseen Photo Fair: Marleen Sleeuwits (Liefhertje en De Grote Witte Reus), Popel Coumou (TORCH Gallery), Noemie Goudal (Edel Assanti) and Ali Taptik (The Empire Project).
