Unseen is an international photography fair focused on undiscovered photography talent and unseen work by established photographers. The first edition of Unseen took place from 19 to 23 September 2012 at Amsterdam’s Westergasfabriek, kicking off the gallery season by celebrating yet undetected, cutting-edge work.

Unseen is an initiative of renowned Foam Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam; Platform A, office for cultural business development; and the creative branding agency, Vandejong.

Foam

Foam enables people from all over the world to experience and enjoy photography, whether at the museum in Amsterdam, on the website, via the internationally distributed Foam Magazine or in the print sales room of Foam Editions. Foam focuses especially on exhibitions, publications, discussions and specific projects relevant to contemporary themes in the field of photography, with an emphasis on upcoming artists.

Platform A

Platform A is an office for cultural business development. Other Platform A projects include: Bright Young Things, an exhibition platform and gallery for emerging talent in contemporary art and photography, and Paraplu Art Associates, which provides content, expertise and management for acquisition, collections, exhibitions, publications, public spaces, campaigns and anything else you can imagine.
